CREATION MUSEUM!!

This past week I haven't posted because I was on vacation in Kentucky. My family and I went to the CREATION MUSEUM by the organization "Answers in Genesis" It was SO COOL! Basically the name gives it away; it's a museum about the genesis account of creation. And just tons of cool stuff to do with that. They have robotic dinosaurs and people, that move and talk and stuff. (Well, the people talk, not the dinosaurs haha.) Anyway they had SO much cool stuff there I don't think I could begin to tell about it. Sooooo... you should look it up ~HERE~

The trip was kind of crazy... five people crammed in a car for 8 hours, then in the same hotel room for 4 nights, and then 8 more hours home. It makes for a crazy week for sure.

TEEN POWER UP 2009 BABY!!!

As I mentioned in my last post, our annual fall teen bash, "TEEN POWER UP" was on Saturday, the 18th. AND..... IT WAS AMAZING!! God was SO good to us and really blessed all of our hard efforts. It was awesome to see some of the teens in our youth group come together as the body of Christ, and grow so much.

These past weeks of practice and work have really blessed me and grown all of us so close, it's crazy. I'd say no matter how the event went, that in itself would make it worthwhile. BUT, it all went RIDICULOUSLY WELL! And people were clearly impacted and had a BLAST!

Although we had MANY chances to lose hope and sight of what really matters through the whole process and event. Satan CLEARLY didn't want us to do what we were doing, which made us all the more certain that God had BIG plans. Seeing the teens constantly re-focus and not let the many situations get them down or dampen their enthusiasm was SO encouraging. And God really blessed it!

Talk about extreme, you could very clearly see the spiritual battle being waged. Satan wasn't too happy about what we were doing and did everything he could to stop it. BUT OUR GOD IS EXTREME AND ALL POWERFUL GUYS!

The skit went super well, the lighting was sooo cool and super fun for me working on it all. Although the fog machine didn't end up working and neither did the spinning red beam. All the strobes did though. The son of the director of the camp, Josh, taped the whole thing on a really nice camera and is going to edit it some and put it on a DVD for us. SOOO.... hopefully you guys shall see it SOON!

Drama Team Extreme

Today we had one of our last Drama Team practices for a big teen event our youth group is hosting at Circle "C" Ranch called "TEEN POWER-UP 2009". It's going to be SO rad! It's all free, with tons of different activities and things including lazertron, kan jam, rock wall, game room, and food and drink. (pizza) It's mostly an outreach event, tellin people about our AWESOME GOD, as well one big party.

The "Drama Team" is a skit to a song called "Everything" by Lifehouse. It's really powerful, as well as a lot of work. We've all worked really hard at it and its going to be really, really intense I hope. The Power-Up is THIS saturday, and our next practice is Friday night when we'll be working on lighting FX, there's still a lot that needs to be finished for this to work so I still have a LOT of work to do. Pray that it will all come together and that I'll keep most of the little sanity I have.

Hopefully I'll be able to get a video of it and upload it for you!

Speaking of videos, here's a snowboard video of some of the footy we shot last season. CHECK IT YO!

Props to LUKE MYERS!! My homie, filmer and bro in Christ. (He made the movie too!)

Drunker Safey Course

Tonight I took my required 5 hr driver safety course. To give the general gist of it... "don't drink and drive, don't do drugs and drive, don't speed excessively... and don't get caught"

It really broke my heart though, because the dude that was teaching it was telling this story of how his best friend in highschool was killed in an accident riding in the car with a drunk driver. And just seeing the pain and the fear that he, and all the kids in the class have. And thinking, how awesome, so crazy awesome it is to have CHRIST in my life, and to have JOY and HOPE through even the hardest parts of life because I know what I'm living for, and that I have a purpose, I didn't just, HAPPEN. And even facing death I don't have fear, maybe sadness, but at the same time TRUE JOY!

Because, I KNOW WHERE I'M GOIN!!

Jesus has made it possible for you to know FOR SURE where your'e going too. Do you? Have you accepted the free gift he offers?

We never know which breath is our last, so don't play games with God dude, don't wait.

Extreme Summer?

WOW! So, I have been SUPER busy this summer and I haven't posted at all! (actually I confess, I pretty much forgot about it all together... with all the things that have been happening)

BUT, now that school is started again and life is more (ideally) routine, I'll be able to be posting again.

So let me "explain"... no, there is too much, let me "sum up" (haha a little movie trivia for ya there, that would be Princess Bride)

For most of the summer I worked at Lamoka Lake Baptist Camp in Tyrone, NY as the boat dock manager person. About 8 weeks, although I didn't end up working every single week. Camp is so fun and crazy and it would be basically impossible to begin to describe all the crazy, extreme things that went down.

Mid July I went to Teen Leadership Conference at Baptist Bible College in Clark's Summit, PA. It was my 3rd year going there and as usual, it was INCREDIBLE. God really challenged me through it more than I had expected and I really got to bond with some of the kids in my youth group.

AND got to skateboard again ALL WEEK. It was basically the first time actually skateboarding since I busted my ankle, so it like heaven for me! Exept my ankle was still really weak so it hurt a lot of the time so I kept it rapped up. We filmed all week and got hours of skate footy so my friend and main filmer these days, Luke Myers edited a skate movie of the week! check it out.

CLICK THIS AND WATCH IT!

Altho I must say I could barely land any of my flip tricks anymore after not skating for 2 months and my ankle being really weak so its mostly all basic gaps and small stairs, fun stuff though.

BUT MOST OF ALL, this summer the most extreme thing for me has been growing WAY closer in my relationship with JESUS CHRIST MY SAVIOR! Its been AWESOME.

So thats a glimpse of my extreme summer.

Keepin it EXTREME,
