"Definition of Love" †

Another one of the songs I've written this week.

"Definition of Love"

(verse 1)
Three little words, are so easy
To say to her, but do you mean them
"I love you" used to mean something
Deeper than this, but now it means nothing
And we don't really know, what love is... anymore

(pre-chorus)Selfish reasons, and selfish feelings
are typical of, what we all call love

Love is patient, love is kind
It keeps no record of wrong or right
And how can we know Jesus Christ,
If we don't even know, what his... what his love is

Sinners we still were, when Jesus died to save our lives
We did nothing to deserve, the love that he gave to us
He gave it anyway, that he might show us
The salvation he made, so the definition of love... is Jesus

"This longing" †

Hey guys here's one out of the three songs I've written this week.

You are more lovely than anything my eyes can see
You are more beautiful than anything this world can offer me
The glory of your majesty is shining like the sun

You are the one I long for, You are the one I need
Nothing on earth can satisfy this longing inside of me
The things of this world will never last, the pleasures of the day
But the joy of the Lord is eternal, it will never fade away

Lord sometimes I'm blinded by my sinful lusts and my selfish pride
But I'm dead to sin and alive in Christ, and that is why my Savior died
All I want, is all you are, so remind me once again

This world is so blinding, its sparkling and shining,
But lies are all it has to sell
But your love is higher, and you shine much brighter,
And you stand where I only fell

"Beautiful People"

Here's a song I wrote yesterday. The guitar music for it is really fun and I'm really happy with how it turned out!
