Flexing Your SPIRITUAL Muscles!

1 Timothy 4:6-10

6. If you put these things before the brothers, you will be a good servant of Christ Jesus, being trained in the words of the faith and of the good doctrine that you have followed.
7.
Have nothing to do with irreverent, silly myths. Rather train yourself for godliness;
8. for while bodily training is of some value, godliness is of value in every way, as it holds promise for the present life and also for the life to come.
9.
The saying is trustworthy and deserving of full acceptance.
10. For to this end we toil and strive, because we have our hope set on the living God, who is the Savior of all people, especially of those who believe.

We were going over this in Sunday school the last few weeks and it kinda stuck out to me.

I like to work out some and exercise... stay in shape. When you consistently and diligently discipline yourself, and train yourself physically, what happens? You gain self control, and have something to show for it. (muscle)

Like it says in verse 8, physical training is great, but training yourself in godliness is of value in EVERY WAY! Which is so true, especially as Christians. Like in verse 6 we need to be training ourselves in the God's word constantly and consistently. With a plan! So we can be "good servants of Christ" and be able to flex our "spiritual muscles".

Just as if you have been working out physically and are in shape it shows, people should be able to tell if we are training ourselves diligently in God's word.

So what's your spiritual "work out routine?" Do you have a plan and focus to be growing spiritually?

KEEP IT EXTREME,
I'M OUT
