Style wise, it's a corporate worship song... somewhat slow, and repetitive. But, it's a simple melody with simple chord progressions that are very easy to "build" with over the course of the song. :)

"Remember" †

I wrote this song after hearing a great message by my brother, Erik, on how we need to "remember" God. It talked about how we need to remember who God is... whats He's done, and teach our families so we don't forget.

A lot of the lines and phrases of this song are scripture, mainly because God's word is way more powerful than mine, so if I can use his... ALL THE MORE POWER!

Hey guys, In case any of you were wondering if I am still writing songs, the answer is yes. Actually, I wrote several songs while at camp this summer and have written several more since I have been home. I just haven't had the time or rather the motivation to type them up and post them. BUT. Now I am, so here you go!

I wrote this song while at camp and thinking about my female friends and sisters that were staying pure and waiting for the guy that God has for them, but felt like there was no one on the other end of it all that's out there waiting for them too. So I wrote this song to tell them and any of you who feel the same way, that there IS someone out there... and he's crazy about you!

Summer is Ending

Hey everyone who reads this or just happened to come across this random post, I'm back from camp! Well, actually camp ended about a month ago, but I've been too busy to start writing again.

For whoever doesn't know, I worked at a Christian camp called Circle C Ranch this summer. I lead the worship team and counseled 7-9 year old boys. Fun fun fun. haha

Now that I'm home from camp I've been working with my dad full time, training to take over the camera biz, as well as learning the ropes on the manure digesters and other stuff he does.

God has taught me so much this summer and brought tons of new friends into my life that are so great but at the same time it is often the old friends that I am most thankful for!

I've been writing songs still too so you can expect to see some new lyrics on here soon. I also hope to have some videos on here so you can actually hear it as well as read it. Hopefully I will be doing some recording as well.. so that would be cool.

Extremish weekend eh? †

WOW! Fun weekend! Friday night was "Burger King Prom" with friends. (Basically just getting all dressed up and going to BK with a bunch of friends for the heck of it.)


When we got back to my friend's house from BK, one of my friends, Josh, had just arrived and was standing behind his vehicle, about to open the trunk. I ran up behind and went to hug him super hard from behind. BUT it was dark out, and I didn't see the vehicle right there. I ended up punching it super hard while trying to throw my arms around Josh. It hurt a little, but I didn't think anything of it until he opened the trunk and the light revealed that there was a big gash in my knuckle down to the bone. I was surprised for sure, because I didn't realize I had hit it that hard.
We went inside and worked for a while cleaning it out and trying to get it to stop bleeding. (after taking many photos OF COURSE.)

Saturday night was a party at BRANDYMANDY's house.... fun stuff! And then my friend Ryer spent the night at my place and we slept out under the stars and roasted 'mallows and crap over the fire!
Sunday morning I went to Wayne Aarum's church with Ryer and then went straight to an outreach almost 2 hrs away with the youthgroup all afternoon. I played guitar for the outreach with my finger messed up still... it was.... interesting. haha But God is good and everything went great!I went bowling my churches youthgroup last night and had to bowl left handed because of my finger. I got a total of 4 strikes between 2 games though!

Long time, no post!

Wow. It's been way too long since I've posted on here! Not like that many people read it... but still! SHAAME ONN MEE! haha.

Well, a quick update is in line I guess. Not much is new since the last post really. School and such is the norm. Obviously snowboarding season is over now, much to my dismay and surely much to your joy. (Although snowboarding photos are quite nice and all.. I'm sure the general public, who don't share my love of the sport, get a bit tired of them after a while.)

The most exciting part of my life right now, is the fact that... I GOT ACCEPTED TO BE A COUNSELOR AT "CIRCLE 'C' RANCH"!!! (Circle C is a Christian camp about 15 minutes from my house and is one of the most evangelistic, and suuuper fun camps I've been to.) So, as you can imagine, I'm pretty stoked for that! June 13th is the date to look forward to now... that's when I start training week.

Lately I've been spending most of my weekends with friends from that camp actually. At my friend Ryer's house. "Heck of it" parties as we like to call them!

Oh yes... and I've also started playing guitar again and this time actually bought an acoustic guitar from my friend so now I can play ALL THE TIME!! :D It's a light colored Alvarez and sounds amazing. I'm a lot better than I used to be at playing and now I play and lead singing at Circle C's youth group on Sundays. I can't explain how much I love leading people in worshiping the Savior and hearing everyone singing! I'm working on a new song too! (Which, of course, you will see on here as soon as I finish it!)

Treez and such †

Sorry if this is getting redundant... but, here are some more snowboarding photos! Haha, reality... I just don't have anything else to right about. My life is mostly school, and you don't really want to read about that. When it's not school, it's snowboarding. However, those of you who like snowboarding, or perhaps are simply intrigued by this crazy kid who keeps putting up pictures, will be happy.

"Snowboard Commute"

This is a shot of an AWESOME tree jam I found the other day. Its about 4 ft high and 10-15 ft long. There's a bunch of branches coming out of the top so you almost have to wall-ride it! BUT, the best part, is that it's 100% natural! There's always something about shredding things that weren't specifically set up for shredding. Not sure what the intrigue is, but it's just plain fun.

So as you can imagine, I had a good time on this log. And since it was too dark to video by the time we found it, we took flash photos.

Extreme Sports, Extreme Photos, Its an EXTREME LIFE! †

Yo! This past Thursday I was snowboarding... (Like every other Thursday) BUT! This Thursday, I did something I've wanting to try for a long time. Frontflip misty flip!


We were filming in the park, when my friend Becca called me. While talking to her I joked about trying a frontflip. Afterwords, the more I thought about it, the more I wanted to try it! So I bombed it and BAMM went flippin! I didn't quite have enough air to get it all the way around so I landed on my butt / lower back... but almost, and at least now I can say I've tried it! Hopefully I'll land one before the season is out!

I heard some friends calling this pole jib a "man cannon" which sounds much cooler. (I thought) It lauches you out over a bank and is fun to do air tricks off it. Grabs are so fun, and I'm starting to get spins off it. So heres a some photos of the man cannon!

This "Hitching post" is up on a 5 ft. spine, with a very steep, short landing down the back side. This was my first time hitting it. I had WAY too much speed, so I cleared the rail by almost 2 ft. and cleared the end of the landing by about 8 ft! haha I landed flat from about 10 ft. up.. it was crazy, and the video is HILARIOUS, but the shot looks pretty steezy!
